B1662 Track in Roon is reset to start when WiiM Pro Plus streamer is switched to another input

I don’t know if this is new or expected, and I don’t know if this is a WiiM or Roon issue, but it’s slightly annoying, so here’s an FYI just in case you are interested.

My regular Naim streamer is broken and so I’m using my WiiM Pro Plus (Roon Ready). As this WiiM is usually in storage and only in use occasionally, I don’t know for sure if this behavior is new-ish, but I can’t recall that it behaved like this when I last used it a year ago.

The issue:

  • Whenever I pause a track in Roon and switch to the WiiM’s optical input (where the TV is connected), this resets the track in Roon to the start.
  • It doesn’t matter if I switch the input manually in the WiiM app or if I set the WiiM’s optical input to auto-sensing.
  • I believe that the track position in Roon should stick, and this is how my Naim streamer (also Roon Ready) behaves when switching input between Roon and optical.

WiiM firmware is the latest 4.8.814734, build date 20260423.
