B1668 Roon 2.70 : RAM usage feedback

Over the last number of days, the physical RAM usage has been

There has been an overall growth from 4.5GB upto 7.5GB.

The growth is largely in unmanaged memory, so maybe will be released during the day or when the next databasae backup is initiated.

A few other people have posted similar result’s with a large climb over a few day’s. Maybe a new memory leak has been introduced in this build

A databased backup activity undertaken at 06:33 this morning, has caused the release of the unmanaged memory
However on the initiation of the backup process there was a memory spike of physical memory used to 10GB

Usage presently sits about 5GB of the 16GB available, with managed memory remaining stable at arounf 2.5GB to 3GB, with the growth coming during an extended playback session (aka Friday night, with a Thai Fish Curry served with Jasmine Rice)

On my side the loading time of the main page is long today. I have restarted my router/modem and Roon titan, but the main page keeps loading slow. Search time of an artist is faster.

I’m on 1668 and my usual RAM usage for the server is about 2-4GB.
This morning when I got up memory is sitting at 10GB and Roon is basically unusable - nothing will load.
After restarting memory is back to normal. I’ve now updated to 1669 so will see how that is.
I took a memory dump if it would be useful.

Last of the B1668 RAM analysis, as updated to B1669 last night.
But prior to the update, usage was flat at about 7GB

With the update and a subsequent further server restart usage was reset to 4GB

Most of the drop was in managed memory utilization.
