Core (Rock) crashes if select single track rather than album.
Does this happen as well with albums, which are containing solely single-track compositions? Or does it occur only if music-track compositions such as symphonies, are added to the queue?
I have the same problem, but only (classical) albums are affected with multi-part compositions.
Tried to narrow down my problem, and it seems to occur, if the following conditions are met:
- Freeze/Crash events do occur with all network and local zones, but NOT through Roon ARC. Some zones lead to freeze, others (particularly roon ready devices) to crash
- affected are only albums containing multi-part compositions, such as classical symphonies and alike
- Playback beginning from either a specific track or via “Play from here” cause the freeze/crash, while “Play now (whole album)” action or tracks from a playlist are not affected. Playing single tracks from a multi-part composition works fine, while adding two or more tracks from such causes freeze/crash
- The freeze/crash seems to solely occur, if tracks of a multi-part composition are added to the queue in addition to the track that is currently playing. Playing only single-track compositions (such as pop/rock songs, or in the example below the last track), or beginning playback from the last track of a multi-part composition, work just fine
This album is a good example which is on Tidal/Qobuz (my other example of organ music is not publicly available):
Hitting one of the red Play buttons, causes freeze/crash. The green ones work just fine.
Hope this helps!
Thanks Ivan.
If I select any track from an album the core hangs. Unable to stop the track playing or select anything else but the search facility still works.
There is no problem if the album itself is played.
Thanks all, we reproduced and now working on a solution, I hope we will be able to ship a fix today/tomorrow
Sorted with 1675. Thank you
