B1697 question: Inconsistent info in release notes for missing audio devices on macOS 27 (prod and EA)?

Both the EA and production announcements contain somewhat inconsistent info (my bold):

EA:

and

Production:

and

@ivan?

@Suedkiez I guess it is putting local audio and zones in the same bucket…

But essentially it is local audio devices and without being able to see them you have no zones?

Ok but I think that’s confusing to users. Why not write ā€œnetwork and local zonesā€ in both paragraphs?

The majority of the macOS 27 mess was with people not seeing their Roon Ready and other network zones, I think. By splitting it up this way it reads like two different issues and one wonders if both are fixed or if there’s a typo.

Especially as local probably wasn’t ā€œthe most urgentā€

Sure, just a quick note while I was sending @ivan a message internally

And thanks for the quick work and responsiveness, as always.

No problem. Thanks for being understanding

Still lots more work and good things coming

I’ve just updated and only get as far as 2.73 (build 1696). Is that because I haven’t yet upgraded to macOS 27 at all?

@Mark_Sealey 1696 is the production release and 1697 is the EA release I believe. At this point I think they are almost essentially the ā€œsameā€

That’s fine, 1696 is production:

You are in the Early Access thread, and Early Access was bumped to 1697 to get the same fix

Got it! Thanks. Wasn’t reading it carefully  .

Thanks, Stephen!

I’m so ā€˜on edge’ about when to go to 27 that I didn’t read this thread properly. My apologies :frowning: !

No problem. I had to close my eyes when I clicked the upgrade now button

To Golden Gate? I haven’t even dared take my mask off.

yup, I upgraded all my devices to 27 for the Roon community
