I installed the latest version, and it no longer shows up as an app in AA

Hi, @Carl_Dickson, could you, please, specify, how did you install Roon ARC update on your device: via Play Store or via APK file?

I downloaded the APK and installed it, but during the update process, I encountered the error message: “App not installed as a package conflicts with an existing package.” To resolve this, I uninstalled Arc and tried installing the APK again. Although it installed successfully, the app was not visible in AA.

Next, I uninstalled the app once more and reinstalled it from Google Play. This time, it appeared in AA, but when I attempted to update, the error occurred again.

The APK version does not work with Android Auto. You also cannot update the Play Store version from the APK. To use Android Auto install from the play store. Unfortunately you will have to wait for Google to release the latest build. Their is a delay after announcement external to Roon as ARC has to go through Google’s review process like any other app.
