Before the 18x-builds my USB DAC played up to 48khz with no MQA. Unfortunately this hasn’t changed, since ARC shows in the attribute page only the label “48khz”.
And for MQA it’s the same, Roon shows that the audio is authenticated, but seems to not give it to the DAC?
The DAC itself could play 384khz with MQA or up to DSD512.
And ARC is since the latest build regularly “lost connection to USB DAC”.
Do you have any idea for these two bugs?
Kind regards,
Lars
Hi, @Kersten_Kusch, I spoke to our dev team on Friday and I’d like to ask you if the appearance of the lost connection to USB DAC depend on the content you play? Like, for example, does it only appear when you are playing MQA or local files, or files from TIDAL/Qobuz?
Hi @ivan,
unfortunately not. The playback fails for every file regardless, if streamed, locally, mp3 or mqa.
I think it’s probably related to the pixel devices, since USB Audioplayer Pro issued a big bugfix update last week, which resolved pretty similar issues
Hi @ivan ,
I just updated to the latest release. Now Roon ARC shows the correct abilities of the DAC. MQA works now for the first 40s afterwards the connection is still lost. For High-res-flacs matter’s worse. I have a 384kHz-file which is downsampled to 48kHz no matter what…
Hi, @Kersten_Kusch, apologies for troubles. In the latest release we had a fix for another problem with the USB Driver. The ticket related to the issue you are having is still with the dev department and is being investigated.
