Description of Issue

Added two box sets yesterday, but in checking Roon, the “background audio analysis” was frozen without completing. Left computer and Core running overnight and this morning the file count is exactly the same as it was last night “Analyzing 204/209”. Have 4 cores and turned all 4 on last night before leaving the machines on.
I looked at most current Roon log file, but I don’t know how to read it to see any obvious conflicts.

How do I “unfreeze” the analysis?

Basic tech support questions: what was the last thing you did? Was it working fine before that?

So I deleted both box sets from the Roon Library folder, then emptied deleted files folder. Rebooted Roon Server, and then rebooted the NUC.

Reinstalled the box sets one-by-one into the Roon Library and - bingo - no frozen analysis files.

Only a guess, but there was probably some file conflict in the library and Roon couldn’t analyze a file it couldn’t find.

Solved.
