Backup restoration stuck at 'Initializing'

Backup restoration stuck at ‘Initializing’.

I asked about this issue a few days ago and didn’t have time to thank the support staff for their kind responses and run the necessary tests before responding. The history is here:

I changed (with the kind assistance of Innuos Support) the (,) to (.) character in my Innuos Statement, as Roon Server, and made a new backup. I restored it on an iMac and a MacBook Pro (described in the previous post), and the result is still the same: the restored backup crashes when booting with the message “Initializing…”.

I want to point out that the replies to the previous post mentioned Windows as Roon Server, which isn’t the case. It’s an Innuos Statement (with Linux, as described in the previous post).

Now I can’t make backups for fear that they’ll also crash when trying to restore them to the Statement.

What else can I try to resolve this issue?

Thanks!

Gracias!

Good day @Luis_Cacho !

I hope you’re doing well today.

Thanks for sharing here your previous threads.

From your previous screenshots we can see that you had a problem restoring your backup on other machines.

Can you please grab logs from those machines (instruction:

) and upload them to us (upload here:

) so we could review them and understand the problem.

Also, if possible please upload your database to our database storage: (

Looking forward to your reply!

Hi @Luis_Cacho,

The Macs in your environment might be underpowered for a database at this size. According to diagnostics, the Windows machine has 32GB of available RAM, but the iMac and MacBook both have considerably less.

If the machine has insufficient RAM to restore the Backup the symptom can be identical to the file delineating problem you originally had with the Innuos Backups.

Have you tried restoring the Backup on your Windows machine since you changed the file separator in Innuos per your last post?

Thank you!

Hi @Luis_Cacho,

@Luis_Cacho, we haven’t seen any response from you on this thread, but we’re hesitant to close out yet another topic thread regarding this issue without a conclusion.

Please see my response two posts above. To proceed from here, we need to determine the current state of the issue and whether you’ve attempted to restore the Backup to your Windows machine in the meantime.

Without any response, the thread will soon close. Thank you!
