Banned Artists: Please also apply to Roon Generated Playlists

Hello. Could you please extend the Banned Artists functionality to include Roon Generated Playlists?

I was driving down the road using ARC on my iPhone. I heard on a Roon Generated Playlists an Artist that I know I’ve banned. So, via my iPhone with ARC, I checked. Yes, I’ve banned the Artist but still played on the Roon Generated Playlists.

So, I also checked on the Roon app at my iMac. Same behavior. Roon plays Artists on my account for Roon Generated Playlists.

I do see under the Banned Topic, this is currently an intended behavior. Could you please change this or give us the option to change this?

With my Banned Artists recognized, I will find much greater utility for the Roon Generated Playlists.

What do you mean by “Roon Generated Playlists”? It’s quite a general term and it would be good to narrow this down so we can understand the problem here.

Are you taking about Roon Radio, or Daily Mixes, or a playlist that has been created at your instigation using the “Smart Playlist” functionality? Or something else?!

Hello Joel. Good point. “Playlists by Roon”. These playlists, both in ARC and Roon, play artists I have banned. Can that please be changed or give us the option to enforce our banned Artists within “Playlists by Roon”. Thanks! Barry
