Just wanted to add to previous posts. Artists I banned as soon as the feature became available are appearing in my DMs today. No DMs saved.
At first I appreciated the metaphor, then I realised “DM” is short for daily mixes.
Ow well, made me smile.
Hey @David_S, a few customers have reported similar issues. We’re sorry that stuff you’ve banned is still invading your airspace. @nathan has found the problem and wired a hot fix. This should be correctly soon. Thanks!
I’m now getting Daily Mixes based on banned artists
Makes one wonder if Roon is having its HAL moment and has a wicked sense of humour.

You can’t ban that, Dave.
Unfortunately this is just a garden variety regression. A piece deep in the guts had a longstanding bug that got noticed due to the attention on bans recently. This piece in the guts was old and a bit fragile and fixing one bug introduced some others.
I think this should be the last necessary kick at this - but thanks for having eyes on this.
Does anybody know when this great idea will actually work?
I used to have multiple banned tracks in my DM’s across multiple profiles. Yesterday and today there are no banned tracks. From my position here DM’s now seems to work .
For Radio i also had banned local tracks being played from same album in streaming services. This as well has worked as intended th elast two days regarding banning and seems to be fixed after updates from Nathan.
Wow! It actually seems to be working. Now for classical music: my DMs are meaningless, based as they are on performers rather than composers. I don’t usually look for performers; I look for composers.
Noted, yeah that’s not handled by the current logic. We’re discussing internally - thanks for the feedback.
Having said that, I noticed banned content creeping back onto the DMs this morning.
If you could share which content got through it’ll help me debug.
Thanks,
Nathan
Hard to remember in detail in hindsight, but I do remember Beethoven, Mozart and Bach slipping through the ban. I hope that’s enough to be going on with, and tomorrow I’ll list any more that get through on the DMs as they happen, which will be more accurate than trying to remember after the event.
