Beatport, by far the largest source of electronic music used by DJs and electronic enthusiasts, has a streaming service called “Beatport Link” now that enables access to its massive library. This fills a huge gap where eg; Tidal has poor coverage of smaller EDM artists.
It looks like Beatport is very willing to work with 3rd party partners since integration is available in several different DJ software products and they clearly seem to offer tailored solutions for their integration partners.
This would enable Roon to serve as a one stop shop for manage collections and playlists for DJs in a much more powerful way than anything else out there. I’d love to use Roon to explore new tracks to add to my collection and then easily add them to my library for usage later in DJ sets (or just to listen to).
