Best Amazon Alexa Speaker - Expert Recommendations

I researched Amazon Alexa speakers over the past few days because I want to buy a smart speaker for my home. I read reviews on popular websites like TechRadar, The Verge, and Consumer Reports, and they often recommend these two models as the best options:

Amazon Echo Studio (newest model)

Amazon Echo Show 8 (newest model)

However, I’m having trouble deciding which one would best suit my needs and would appreciate some expert advice.

I plan to use the Alexa speaker for music, voice commands, smart home control (lights, plugs, etc.), alarms, reminders, and general questions. It will mainly be used in my living room and bedroom, so sound quality and reliability are important to me.

Which Amazon Alexa speaker would you recommend? Any suggestions or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

The Echo Studio is a audio only device, meaning that the focus is on sound quality. The Echo show is audio and video device, meaning that the focus is split between audio quality and video quality. If you are trying to get the best audio quality then the Echo Studio is the way to go, however if you a device that plays audio and handles the other Alexa tasks with a better user interface than the Studio then the go for the Echo Show. Please understand that Echo Studio can handle all of the other Alexa tasks, just like the Echo Show, but without the visual user interface.

You might want to have look at getting the previous model of the Echo Studio used. I have one of these and it’s an excellent sounding sound speaker. And finally, should you chose to go with the newest Echo Studio then. if possible, I would wait for it to go on sale, which is does rather often.
