Best setting for Nad M32 running BluOS

Hello

Running Roon 1.6 B416 streaming Tidal and library MQA to my NAD 32 running BluOS 3.4.24.

Should it be set to render, decode, or both?

The NAD M32 MQA Capabilities should be set to “Renderer Only”. BluOS devices work in “MQA Renderer” mode during Roon Ready playback. Roon will automatically perform the MQA Core Decode process before sending the audio stream to the M32, allowing for the full benefits of the MQA playback chain to be realized.

Thanks - any plans for that to change to support decoder and renderer? That should reduce bandwidth between my core and bluos?

I will use Renee only in meantime

Hello @glenn_kime,

MQA support is implemented on the device itself. Roon does not control how the device implements MQA playback. Only NAD or Bluesound would be able to answer that question for you.
