I remember someone saying that Old Oppo’s were a great deal. Is this true? And what are the recommended models?

I have an Oppo 203 and they are expensive now. An Oppo 205 even more so.

Oppo were/ are one of the few truly universal players that were affordable at the time.
Dvd, SACD, CD BluRay they can do it all.
However generally they are fetching much more used than when new right now.

Maybe a older bdp105 might work at a lesser premium but it’s not Roon Ready where the 203/205 models are.
