BETA Release 2024.11

@spockfish
Hi Harry, the previous feedback was a bad one, as there was no DAC connected to “Bureautje”.
But the same occures when changing to “ToppingE70V” where the DAC is connected and powered on…

Found there was a waiting update for the USBridge and ran it. It did not restart after the update, but it was apparently successfully applied because after I rebooted it finally appeared in the device list and I was able to stream to it. A quick listen in the lab set up it seems that the cracking noise I reported previously has been fixed. I plan to move it to my main headphone system tomorrow and will report back.

I will test new beta and give You feedback.

Update:
The same problem like last beta. Device after update doesn’t boot. First time ask me for pass to wifi like in first install image. Please @spockfish check this bug.

Thanks.

And confirmed. I can reproduce this. Obviously this needs to be fixed before we release.

@spockfish This is problem with taking 5Ghz network with WPA3 and WPA2 (mix) connection. Another time when RoPieee doesn’t takes lower WPA encoding. I try 2.4GHz and Ropieee was connected and works well.

Update:
I was change encoding to wpa/wpa2 (mix) and RoPiee was connected to 5GHz. This is the same issue like before vacation. Stable version works well on wpa3/wpa2 mix.

Hi,

I’ve pushed out another beta release, with 2 changes:

First, NAA is updated to 5.1.2. And second, the display issue reported by @Frank_M has been resolved.

Almost there!

Hi Harry, I can confirm that now the display is immediately showing the new selected zone, even when it is not playing. Thank you very much for correcting this detail.
Kind regards, Frank.

Hello Harry,

The update doesn’t work with a Link from Stack Audio (CM3), I had to reflash.
I tested the update twice
the update to the first beta version worked - 2024.11 (1893) , the second beta failed

OK on RPI4 Raspberry Pi 4 Model B Rev 1.5

Kind regards, Jean-Paul

FWIW I’ve upgraded an rpi4 with otherwise the same setup (same dac and official display) without issue.

Have you already tried the ancient ‘pull the cord’ trick?

Yes of course…light on the power brick (19v) is on but yeah could be a number of things first check voltages then use usb power without the digiamp board and also a different sd card

Is it possible to send information from Roon to DAC abut Title, artist name, cover etc? This happend with Airplay 2 or simple transfer from dlna server like MinimServer for Synology or Windows.
