Time for another release. And for those that pay attention… it doesn’t have version in the title, but only a date stamp. And that’s because this better reflects RoPieee’s development process: I keep on developling until I think it’s time to release, so it’s not a beta release means we’re about to. Nothing that important obviously.
Anyways… I’ve been doing a lot of ‘under the hood’ work this release, which (among others) makes it possible to do stuff that’s been on my wish list for a long time: keeping track of who is locking a USB DAC.
So with this release the biggest change you can see on the ‘audio’ tab:

Hi Harry,
I upgraded my 5 RoPieees (3* RPI3B and 2* RPI4B) and all went smoothly.
But I noticed that in the section “Devices” it is not possible any more to select “IP Address” to change the order of the lines. Previously, I could click on “IP Address” so that the order of RoPieees where in IP-Address-order instead of a random order. Also previously, when you clicked on “Devices” the “standard” order was that the actual RoPieee on which you were logged on, was the last line. Now it sits somewhere in the list of RoPieees.
Of course, this is not an important thing, but I noticed it and so I report it.
Thank you again for all the nice improvements.
Kind regards, Frank.
When I turn on the DAC, a message appears that the DAC is locked by Roon. I continue listening, switching tracks. I go back to the Audio tab, and now the lock option changes to Idle. Even though Roon is working fine.
My RPI5 feeds two DACs simultaneously, CHORD TT2 USB and Eversolo 6 gen1 USB. Both stream music OK, but no DAC is recognized under the Ropieee GUI. I did restart the RPI5 twice, still no DAC under the Audio ran.
ok, because this is a display issue. Your logs shows that the DACs are found (otherwise you wouldn’t be able to play audio of course), so something goes wrong in the webinterface…
I did the update yesterday. All went well, but the red led stays on. In the settings both leds off. I did a few reboots and changed settings, the red led shines on. Not a big problem for me, just to let you know
