Biggest Roon End-point Yet

It’s been a bit more than just “tinkering.” A few months back I started a project to design a modern stereo console in the spirit of classic mid-century consoles, but…this time fixed with pro designed speakers based on the vintage Dynaco A25 speakers, Class D power, DSP crossovers, AKM DAC, and a high-end RPi based streamer fitted with a Fifo, and super-quiet PSU.

The initial design is a too large for my living room. So, I removed the legs (you can see the legs in the render, but not in the photos). I’ll put a short pedestal based under the prototype in my living room. Yes, the top compartment is designed to accommodate a turntable. But I do not plan to incorporate one at this point (it’s just a bad idea with the 10" 100L speakers as part of the build). Amps, streamer, etc are hidden away in an electronics compartment at the back of the cabinet.

The speakers are based on the Seas A26. They are bi-amped (270 watts to each woofer and 100 watts available to each tweeter).

I hope it sounds as good as it looks.

Solid wood? Looks very solidly built.

Outside surfaces are all solid Parota. The inside surfaces are veneered mdf. The speaker boxes are double wall - mdf inside and solid parota outside.

Professional quality build props and admirable execution!

I‘d love to see further documentation of your design process for crossover filters and maybe also room acoustics correction.
It seems to me, you‘ll be facing challenges due to console corner placement in a relatively live room and low driver placement, just to name the most obvious.
