BLUE SCREEN (out of the blue) - ROON had to be restored!

AMD processor, 64 bit W10, plenty of memory, no new programs recently installed

OK, it is back up and working fine again but this is the first time there has been a major collapse requiring the tedious restoration from the backup. I strongly suspect Microsoft is to blame but any hints on how to avoid these blue screens (I’ve been getting them, on the Notebook too) would be appreciated.
