One of the most evocative pieces of the entire Delta Blues idiom from its most singular stylist. Skip James, “Devil Got My Woman” from Blues From the Delta — a collection of his 60s recordings made for Vanguard Records. Excellent sound and performances.

Blues at Newport on Vanguard and now available on Qobuz in the US. A nice Various Artists collection of live acoustic blues recorded at Newport. Fine sound and stellar performances.
