This is an identical issue and “workaround” as this link:
I am having this issue on a 2022 Tesla Model Y with AMD CPU. When playing Arc on first connect of BT, there’s no info on the vehicle media player. I then started a song from Plexamp. I saw the Plexamp metadata. I stopped Plexamp and returned to Arc and pressed play and had proper Arc metadata. However there is no coverart displayed on the Tesla.
Just for clarity, have you tried changing the AVRCP version in Developer Settings?
Opening a different app (PlexAMP, Spotify) will force a complete AVRCP metadata push. Switching back to ARC seems to restore the AVRCP dataflow between ARC and the head unit. Thus the workaround, such as it is.
Changing the AVRCP version will change how these metadata handoffs are negotiated between ARC and the head unit.
We’ll escalate this to the ARC team for a next step in the meantime; if you have a video, that’s helpful, but it’s not urgent.
I did have my AVRCP version set to 1.5 (default). I just changed it to 1.6. I’ve noticed that once Arc starts working correctly, it continues until I reboot my phone. I’ll do another reboot and let you know. Sorry about not getting video. I’ll work on it!
I’ve recorded a video, but it’s over 500MBs in size. When I try uploading to the link provided, I receive a message saying there’s a 100MB file size limit. Can I get a different link with a higher capacity upload limit? Thanks!
