I switched over to the Puredac as it has DSD support. Roon shows it output as DSD but the interface is Roonspeaker streaming and drops the output down to CD quality. Roon should do no harm but dropping it to CD quality is not appropriate. 
What does your audio configuration look like on the remote?
In order to get bit-perfect DSD output, you will need to enable “Exclusive Mode” in audio settings and then pick “DSD over PCM” as the DSD playback strategy:
Thanks. It didn’t look like that but totally forgot to look at the output setting. Was able to enable the Exclusive Mode and the DSD over PCM.
