I have installed the latest version of roon server in my synology nas for about a month now, without any inconvenience.
My home network is 2.5G wired connection (ethernet).
Last weekend, I was trying some things about the nas network configuration, specifically create a bond connection with to the two network ports of my nas.
I began to experience strange behaviors, the songs did not load, and if they did, they took too long, I had constant interruptions, even playing songs hosted on my nas.
Turn off the bond connection and everything returned to normal.
Has anyone had a similar experience? Will it be a roon or nas problem?
You can not just bond the ports of your NAS. The other end of the connection (switch, router, …) also needs to support bonding and its respective ports configured accordingly for a bonded connection to work properly. Without support and proper configuration one has to expect what you described. This has nothing to do with Roon and only partially with your NAS.
