Yes, there is still a need for Bookmarks in Arc even though Smart Playlists are now available. While it appears that Smart Playlists and Bookmarks do the same thing, there is an important difference for listeners to classical music. One of the great features of roon is that it will shuffle - in some circumstances - complete works rather than individual tracks. If I create a Bookmark from a particular Focus - in this case from Classical-Favourite-Not Played in Last Month - and then suffle, the queue is made up of the works in their entirity. If I create a Smart Playlist from the same Focus and shuffle to play it, roon creates a queue with individual tracks so that the movements of a work are scattered among the tracks. The same happens if I use Random when I create the Smart Playlist. I have already voted for Bookmarks to be added to Arc. Alternatively, roon could make Smart Playlists (in fact all playlists) shuffle properly, keeping movements of a work together as they should be. Since they know how to do this with Bookmarks, why can’t they do so with playlists?
