Description of Issue

I have occasional, brief, large sandstorm noises between songs when streaming TIDAL via roon. Sounds exactly like a TV sandstorm, and only lasts for half a second. Am I having an issue with connection? The noise occurs rarely in the middle of songs too.

Hi @Masayuki_Morikawa,

Please accept our apologies for the delay. The symptoms you’re describing resemble digital distortion from a sample rate mismatch. In Roon → Audio → Device Setup for the iFi Neo endpoint, please try setting the maximum sample rate to a lower value as a test:

Can you please provide an example of a track (or an approximate timestamp) for when this last occurred?

Do you ever hear this issue when you play via the system output of your Surface Laptop instead of the Ifi Neo Stream?

Lastly, do you have any DSP enabled, like parametric equalization, etc?
