Bryston BDA 3.15 does not appear in Roon

I have a nucleus with a wired connection to my Bryston streamer/DAC. I can control it with magic moose but I am not finding it in the Roon audio setup as Roon ready or certified.
I can not find instructions on how to set up Roon or the Bryston 3.14.
Any suggestions?

Fellow owner, not Roon support.

Do make sure you’re running the latest Bryston firmware. It only got officially Roon certified about two years ago, as I recall?

Then, make sure you select Roon as the streaming mode at the bottom left on the main page of the streamer interface. You can select Manic Moose or Roon, but you have to pick one.

Your response was very helpful since it is hard to find set up instructions for Roon.
Here are some other snags that I ran into.

  1. The Pi does not show on the network on a windows PC unless the media server is active. I assume that is what the Roon ready playback does.
  2. I am at a loss how to manage radio stations with manic moose.

Anyway, thanks for your help. Much appreciated.

You’re welcome.

If you mean that it doesn’t show up on the Roon device list unless it’s powered up, yes, that’s true. I leave mine on all the time. I have no idea how much power it consumes when it’s on but idle.

@user255, you may want to spend some time reading the Roon knowledge base.

Start here, and bookmark this page in your web browser.

As @Kuryan_Thomas says, core and endpoints need to be powered on. The help guides explain how Roon works, starting with the core (your Nucleus.)

Does this help? If you’re missing a station, the volunteer curators can add it to Roon.
