This is getting insane!
@connor asked me to zip up my database for analysis today - there’s something going on.
Thanks for the report. ![]()
Are Roon doing anything to solve this? I have to reboot Roon about once a week to stop this album, and track, count go completely wild. It did not help with the latest Roon update.
Can’t say for sure, but something strange seems to happen with this every time I, for example, clean up albums and songs where the versions have become unavailable in Qobuz, and add new versions. Maybe this is just a coincidence.
Good question!
Hi everyone,
Here’s the status on this:
The team released some updated application logic last year that targeted this area. It didn’t catch every case. We have an additional investigation ongoing at this time. We’d like to kindly request affected users who are willing to upload their databases do so using the link below. This will help expedite our QA team’s efforts to pin this down.

Thank you!
I tried the ways that I think triggered it for me in the past (lots of scrolling back and forth through My Albums sorted by Artist, scrolling to Various Artists and beyond, then back to earlier letters in the alphabet, and doing this whole thing repeatedly), and I haven’t been able to trigger it. I also did not see if for 2 months or so during normal usage. So I consider my use case tentatively resolved. Thanks.
Thanks for the update, @Suedkiez!
@Hakon_Berg, @Saturn94, @DDPS, this issue was flaring up several builds ago in April, but the symptom might manifest differently now after recent changes to startup indexing and background work.
Have you seen this problem on the most recent release?
It takes a while… I will let you know.
Thank you.
I just updated yesterday. As @DDPS mentioned, sometimes it takes time to show up. That said, so far since updating yesterday the issue hasn’t popped up.
I’ll give it some time and post an update. ![]()
Yes, today the problem was back. Has been fine for a while, but today it happens again. I disconnected my NAS because I did some changes with some tags on a couple of albums. When I connected again, the album and track count were crazy again.
Rebooted my Roon server and it was back to normal again.
It’s been a while since I’ve noticed the issue pop up. Even before the 2.67 update, I wasn’t noticing the issue reoccur for a little while. I want to say since updating to 2.66 I haven’t noticed it.
That said, May was a busy month for me, so I wasn’t paying much attention to Roon and this issue.
I’ll keep an eye on it and report any reoccurrences.
