Build 276 Android drops connection can’t find core

Getting lots of lost connection and then can’t find core. This is with my Android tablet and build 276. Wasn’t happening before the new release. Restarting both programs or restarting the tablet gets it working again.

Hi @danny2 ----- Thank you for the report and sharing your feedback with us. Apologies for the slow response.

Moving forward, to help us understand why your Android based Roon remote is dropping connection to your Roon core may I very kindly ask you for the following:

Setup Questions:

  • An expanded description of your current setup using this link as a guide.

  • Please provide the details of your network configuration/topology as well as providing insight into any networking hardware you may be implementing. I want to have a clear understanding of how your devices are communicating and what tools are being used to make those connections possible.

General Troubleshooting questions:

  • Since noticing this behavior have you tried reinstalling the remote application on the Android tablet?

  • Does manually entering the IP address of the core machine on the remote restore the connection?

-Eric

At the suggestion of another user, I uninstalled and reinstalled RoonServer. This has helped- I still get disconnects, but the Roon app and the Core reconnect on their own quickly. Before they weren’t reconnecting without intervention by me.

I am okay with the performance now, but if you want I can send you details of my setup anyway.

Thanks,
Danny
