Build 537 crashes often

Since the update earlier today Roon has crashed 3 times. Seems to happen when skipping a track or using track slider. Not looking for support just giving feedback as no doubt will be an update to correct it

Hi @Daniel_Bunton,

We aren’t seeing other reports of this issue, so we are hoping we could get a little more information from you here.

To start, please provide a brief description of your current setup using this link as a guide.

Make sure to describe your network configuration/topology, including any networking hardware currently in use, so we can have a clear understanding of how your devices are communicating.

Thanks!

Not looking for support. WIll just got back to native streaming services.
If you had a send error reports button in the software (like cheap software does) I would happily press that button.

Hi @Daniel_Bunton,

We’ve enabled diagnostics on our end — If you leave your Core running the report should be uploaded automatically and we can take a look.

Thanks!

Hi @Daniel_Bunton,

Thanks for notifying us regarding the crashes, I can confirm that the log report has been received by our servers.

It looks like you’re getting an unmanaged crash here, which means that Roon was not able to write much info to the log before it closed, so I kindly request for you to send us the Windows Event Viewer logs as well for QA review. The instruction on how to access these are as follows:

  1. Press Win + R and type eventvwr.msc
  2. Press OK – this should open Event Viewer window
  3. From the left sidebar go to Windows Logs > Application
  4. Right click on the Application subsection and pick Filter Current Log... from the context menu
  5. On the Filter tab for the Logged section pick a parameter Last 30 days and press OK
  6. Right click on the Application subsection again and pick Save filtered log file as.. from the context menu
  7. Enter the log file name, for e.g. Roon_USERNAME , and press Save
  8. Upload the Event Viewer logs to our diagnostics servers, information has been sent via private message
