Describe the issue

Cabasse Pearl Akoya - now Roon Ready. How to use this? Despite software updates on both my Akoya's and Roon nucleus, i can not see any other option than Airplay, no indication of the Akoya's being roon ready options within the audio settings tab? Can anyone guide me here please?

Describe your network setup

Simple WIFI with range extenders, Peal Akoya are both connected via LAN connected to router, rather than on wireless

There was a similar issue a few days ago, but I am afraid this doesn’t help you very much because you said your firmware is up to date.

And of course you have rebooted both the Roon Server and the Cabasse since performing these updates?

Hi @Grant_MacFarlane1,
Thanks for reaching out to us to ask about this issue. Like @AceRimmer said please try rebooting both your server and Cabasse. If you are still unable to use Roon Ready after please let us know!

Good evening, yes have rebooted my Roon nucleus. According to the Cabasse website/support the Pearl Akoya receive automatic updates every 24 hours, if in doubt they suggested switching on and off to effect the updates. After trying both sign of the Akoya being Roon ready. I have a Chord Poly/Mojo2 and this showing under the Roon ready list. Bit perplexed about this issue. Akoya still only showing as Airplay2 streaming devices on the list

Thanks Arlen, trying these. So far no success in achieving Roon readyness for the Aioya’s

Good evening Daniel, yes after following explain procedure for firmware updates , no change to Roon ready availability for the Akoyas. Not sure what to try next. Have sent a ticket to Cabasse help/support to see if they know what is the problem

Just guessing… do you have to enable Roon Ready in Cabasse’s own StreamControl app?

Hi Arlen, within the Cabasse streaming app, there appears not to be an option for that. I tried selecting streaming (as per attached photo) but this changes nothing within Roon in the audio tab within settings.

Did you try to select ‘streaming’ and then roboot both your speakers and your Roon Server?

Hello Roon Community. I’ve been lurking on this post for the past couple of days as I too have encountered this issue.

I opened an email ticket with Cabasse on January 13th and have posted two follow ups since. No response from Cabasse other than the automated acknowledgement of the ticket. Has anyone had success in making contact with regards to the issue?

I suspect a firmware update is needed and may still be undergoing QA processes.

Hello David, I’ve raised a ticket with Cabasse also, nothing more than acknowledgment of the ticket being registered.

Hoping your assumption is correct , that the firmware update is pending such testing prior to release.

Hi @Grant_Macfarlane2 /@David_Whittington1 ,

Is the issue still occurring at the present time? Have you received any response from the Cabesse team yet?

Good afternoon Noris. Issue continues and I have not had any response to my open ticket with Cabasse support.

Hi @Grant_Macfarlane2 / @David_Whittington1 ,

I was able to get in touch with the team regarding this issue, and I have the following update to share. As of January 2025, Cabasse has received Roon Ready certification for all the devices in The Pearl Akoya model line. At this time, Cabasse is conducting final testing internally before publicly releasing their Roon Ready update.

Cabasse anticipates that within the next two months, all of The Pearl Akoya models will receive Roon Ready firmware once their internal QA testing has been completed. If you have any questions or would like an update on the timeline for your specific device please reach out to Cabasse directly, thanks!

Thank you Noris,

Sincere thanks for this update. We will continue to be patient, at least it’s comforting to know that it’s all in the final stages. Thanks again.
