Describe the issue

I have two Cabasse Pearl speakers that are configured as a stereo pair via the app. Now that the speakers are Roon Ready, I wanted to play music directly via Roon. Unfortunately, only one of the two speakers is recognised and the music only plays through this speaker, although both speakers play in stereo when the music is played via the Cabasse app. How can I address and configure the speakers as a stereo pair from the Roon app? Many thanks for your support! Yours sincerely, Dirk Sander

I don’t know anything about Cabasse… the only thing I can come up with is: are both your speakers on the latest firmware, so they are both Roon Ready?

Yes, Both have the latest Firmware!

Hello @d.sander,

Thank you for reaching out to Roon Support.

Could you kindly clarify what happens if you do not pair the devices as a stereo pair in the Cabasse application?

Additionally, please provide us with screenshots of how the devices appear in Roon → Settings → Audio when they are both grouped and ungrouped. This will help us better understand the behavior and assist you further.

Good day

I have now removed the grouping in the Cabasse app. Both Cabasse speakers then appear in the Roon app. I can also merge them into a group. However, I believe that this is not a stereo sound, but that both speakers are playing in mono. Is there a way to generate ?copy? a stereo sound?

Please also find attached the screenshots of the settings in the Roon app.

Thank you very much!

Hi @d.sander,

Just to summarize the issue here:

  • When you attempt to pair the Pearls via the Cabasse app, only one is visible as a networked Roon Ready Zone
  • When you attempt to pair the Pearls via Roon, Roon distributes a dual mono signal instead of treating the Zones as a stereo pair
Please share a screenshot of the Signal Path in Roon while playing to the Grouped Zone.

Please also share a screenshot of the Device Setup page for the Cabasse Zone when you have the speakers paired in the Cabasse app (click the gear icon :gear: in your first screenshot above).

We’ll watch for your response. Thanks!

Attached I send the Screenshots:

Hi @d.sander,

Thanks for uploading those screenshots. I wasn’t able to find the Device Setup screenshots that @connor mentioned—were you running into any trouble accessing that screen?

Here’s a quick guide to help:

First you need to click the speaker icon in the lower right corner of the Roon window then click the gear icon in the pop-up menu. That will open a menu showing all of your devices in the group with a button that says device setup.

Once we have those screenshots, we’ll be in a much better position to help. Let us know if anything about that process is unclear. We’re happy to walk you through it!

Attached you find the Screenshots.

Hey @d.sander,

Thanks for the screenshots! If you could, please use the directions found here and send over a set of logs to our File Uploader?

Once logs have been uploaded, please let us know so that we can check the server for your files, thanks!

Hi @d.sander ,

Can you please also confirm the exact Cabesse models and firmware versions you are using when you have a chance?

I already was in discussion with you about the topic but the talk was closed. i just send the request log files via File-Uploader.

I own 2 Cabasse Pearl Akoya speakers but did not find the serial numbers in the app.

Best, Dirk

I’ve merged your post into the existing Support Request, and reopened the topic thread (it got closed automatically because a post was marked as a solution).
