Describe the issue
Hello Team my Cambridge Audio Melomania P100 headphones doesn't play music when connected via USB wired.
Describe your network setup
Roon Server is on my MacBook pro services and local library is connected through wifi
Sorry, I missed that your device is connected by USB, not network. In this case, may be another one of macOS 15‘s tightened security checks. Try the second one in this post, „Allow accessories…“. Not sure if it helps but worth trying:
The next time you get the error message please note the date and time for us. We can use that information to more easily locate the event in your logs. Thank you in advance for your continued cooperation!
Thanks for following up! We’re seeing an error RAAT__OUTPUT_PLUGIN_STATUS_FORMAT_NOT_SUPPORTED when you’re attempting playback. And while the file format seems to be 44.1/16, nothing out of the ordinary.
Are you able to access the zone settings>device setup and review the sample rate options for the P100?
It may be worth checking if there’s a firmware update as well. We’ll be on standby for your reply!
I have set 24/96 but with no help. Roons keeps skipping tracks, occasionally plays one track in a long playlist, next time skipping too many tracks and shows error message “too many failures, stopping playing”
As a next step in troubleshooting, could you test out enabling or disabling ‘Exclusive Mode’ within the device settings? If it’s enabled, test out disabling it. If it’s disabled, test out enabling and let me know your results!
Hello Benjamin, thank you for your suggestion. Disabling exclusive mode worked for me. After brief testing, roon plays my tidal tracks through melomania p100 usb mode. Thank you for your support.
