Description of Issue
I would like to know if it is possible to install HQPlayer Embedded on the same PC as the Roon Server. I don’t really want a GUI hanging around so the Desktop version is not really what I want, I just want to configure it once and have it sit between Roon and the DAC all on the same device. The installation process at the Signalyst site suggests loading the HQPlayer Embedded Installer on a USB drive and installing from there, leading me to believe that it will wipe my existing Ubuntu install and the Plex server I have on there as well. I want to leave all that in place along with the Roon server and have HQPlayer process as needed. I am not too concerned about asking too much of the server since I will probably be the only one using it and will either be watching a video with possible tonemapping/transcoding OR upsampling/modulating audio, but not at the same time. The Plex and Roon functions work great so far, but I don’t want to mess it up trying to install HQPlayer Embedded. I’ve looked everywhere and have not really seen anything about Embedded coexisting so my apologies if this has been covered.
