Can I delete .restore_old folder on a Mac?

This question was asked back in 2018, but didn’t get an answer, so I thought I’d ask it again. Does anyone know if I can safely delete the .restore_old folder? (see below):

It’s taking up quite a bit of room, so I’d like to get rid of it if I can, but obviously don’t want to remove anything essential.

I’m saying yes.
I assume you have a backup of your database saved somewhere.

If you are afraid it will break your current Roon setup, move it to the trash and see what happens. I’m saying nothing will happen.

That file is usually hidden I believe… I’m saying that because the .DS_Store files is visible in your screenshot and those are by default hidden.

Also all files on mac with a . as the first character are treated as hidden files.

I suspect it’s a left-over from a restore I ran recently, so doubt there will be an issue if I get rid of. And yes, I have loads of backups so no worries there. I’ll just move it, see what happens, and report back.

Thanks for your input.

EDIT: All good. I moved the folder and restarted Roon and the core. Everything still works, so I’ll delete it.
