Can I use pc core for Roon CDs Ripping?

Hello.

I have a question for Roon OS 175 version.
I know that ripping related menu is activated in the web interface and how to use it all.

My question is how to access the web interface when using pc core.
Does this patch have an updated version of the roon os, so other os cores do not apply?
If so, should I use the ‘Roon Extension: CD Ripper v0.3.0’ method in other os?

And I know that when I rip a CD, metadata is not stored in the flac file.
Is there any way to store the automatically recognized metadata in the flac file in the roon?
I would like to know if there is a way to save automatically without using the mp3tag program.

I don’t quite understand the question. Do you mean running RoonServer on a PC? What OS are you referring to?

There is a program (SongKong) that will go through your library and tag your music files. So the metadata are now in the files as if you ripped them on something like dBpoweramp.

No , Roons CD ripping is for RoonOS only it’s not part of the Roon server product at all which is what you get for Windows, Mac and Linux. It’s an operation system in its own right

Thank you for answering the question.

You can use this as an alternative if your Roon core is running on a Linux system or if there is another linux system in your network, like a Raspberry Pi.
