As someone who spends a lot of time with high‑end audio gear and is currently evaluating whether Roon should become part of my listening ecosystem, I’ve been genuinely impressed by how much care you put into metadata, artwork, and the overall presentation of music. That level of polish is a big part of why Roon stands out from other platforms, and it’s exactly the kind of experience serious listeners appreciate. With that in mind, I hope you’ll consider an enhancement that would make internet radio feel as refined as the rest of Roon.
Right now, Roon can only display metadata that’s already embedded in the stream, which means many excellent stations — especially FLAC streams — appear without artwork, track info, or context. A lightweight enrichment layer that detects track changes and injects metadata before RAAT distribution would instantly elevate radio to the same high‑quality experience Roon delivers for local files, Qobuz, and Tidal. The engineering lift is small, the user impact is large, and the result would be a uniquely “Roon‑like” improvement: radio streams that look and feel like native Roon content, complete with artwork, credits, and continuity across endpoints.
