I’ve tried to download Roon core on my air Mac , but will not download. I either get a 404 message or when I click on try free for 14 days, nothing happens. What ls the problem? Am I missing something?

Welcome! I’m using a Mac too, no problems here. Are you using Safari? You have not blocked downloads from the Roon website? (Safari - settings - websites)?
Try to use Firefox or Google Crome to rule out a Safari related problem.

What is an air mac?
What age is it and what operating system is it running?
Older Mac’s will at the OS level have out of date certs that won’t allow you to access many websites.
So I downloaded roon on my AirMac using chrome and there were no problems. However, remote 1.8 is a legacy and I was instructed to download 2.0. When I downloaded 2.0 it cannot locate my core So I cannot use a remote to navigate my music. What is the problem? Yes, firewalls are off. Help !
What the heck is an AirMac lol?
It sounds as though you have set up a mismatch between Roon components - you cannot mix versions 1.8 and 2.0.
The Core and remotes must all be on either version 1.8 (legacy) or all on version 2.0 (production).
My guess would be a MacBook Air.
