Can’t enjoy music I don’t own

You have to cater for your market. I don’t see many LP Records selling at our gigs as the cost is a little High for an impulse buy.
We restrict artists to £10 for a CD as we don’t take anything for ourselves. Some venues do. We also find people are happy to pay £10 for a CD album and maybe £4 or £5 for an EP.
£15 for vinyl is fine for an enthusiast but sales will be low.
Whilst cars have CD players, people can play a CD on the way home.

We consider the merch table, the most important part of the venue after the stage as a great show can lead to great sales. People are excited and in the mood to buy.

Usually I’ve already bought the FLAC or CD, so I grab the vinyl and put it in a cupboard thinking I’ll flog them at some point, but happy I’ve done my bit to support the artist. Tough way to make a living these days unless you’re twerking.

Your right about that, not all artists are pre prepared to twerk :joy:

And I am not prepared to see most artists twerk :kissing_heart:

Or should that be “I am not prepared to pay to see artists twerk”

 Hi Sallah!

Well, even if it were free, I don’t think I’d be interested in seeing, say, Meatloaf, twerk.

Now that’s something I would pay good money for

I do too, however, I have also over the years disovered nuggets in my library that I had previously not liked. One of the virtues of owning a large eclectic library
