I’m in the process of getting one of the new Rivian R2s. As anyone who’s been following Rivian developments, they have decided not to support CarPlay or AndroidAuto at this point. They’re kind of like Apple. They want to control the whole software stack. But of course their system runs a lot of apps, such as for Apple Music, Tidal, etc. I’m sure I could be happy with just Tidal, but I want my R2 to have access to my Roon Nucleus One over the Internet.
Considering this is a pretty big deflection point for Rivian with the R2 most likely pushing them into profitability for the first time if it’s a hit, and so far the reviews are stellar, I would love to run Roon ARC from my screen. Please consider it.
