I cannot connect to my music library on my Roon server using either the Roon Android remote control app or the Roon ARC app for my Google Pixel 8 phone, or the Roon Windows desktop remote control app. I am run

Regarding OS's, I am running Windows 11 on my server PC, and the Android CinnamonBun April 5, 2026 update on my Pixel 8. My server PC is a GMKtec NUC box 10 mini PC running Windows 11 Pro with a Ryzen 5 cpu and 16 gb of RAM. My music library is installed on a separate external HD connected to my server.

· My router make and model is a TP-link Archer BE550 with 2 Archer RE315 extenders. My server is connected to my network via a cable that goes directly from my server to my router. I am not using any switches. I am also using Tailscale on all of my devices.

Hi @Alan_Edelstein,

Thanks for the detailed background. Since Roon Remote and Roon ARC on multiple devices all lost access to the same Roon Server, I’d like to focus on the server’s network path and what the server is currently advertising to the rest of your system.

A few things would help us narrow this down:

  • Is Roon Server on the GMKtec PC reachable at all from other (preferably Windows) remotes, or does that one fail the same way as the Android apps?
  • What exactly changed around April 7, when things seemed to recover, and then started failing again?
Since you are using a Windows PC, I would verify that both Roon.exe and RAATServer.exe have been added as exceptions to your Windows firewall.

You can use these instructions to add the exceptions and the executables themselves would be located in your Database Location/Application folder path.

I would also add these exceptions to any Antivirus or other Firewall blocking applications you may have and ensure that you connected to your network via a Private network, not a Public one, see this guide for more information.

Once we have those details, we can get a much clearer picture of where the connection is breaking.
