Describe the issue

I can connect using my Mac desktop, but cannot connect using my Mac laptop. I have reinstalled the app on my laptop and no joy. Roon remote on my desktop is build 1528, but Roon remote on my laptop is build 1496! It remains as build 1496 even after deleting and reinstalling the app on the laptop. Both computers are running Sequoia 15,4,1

Describe your network setup

Google mesh. No issues with my desktop, just my laptop

Hey @Alejandro_Pinto,

Thanks for writing in and sharing your report, and welcome to the Roon community as well - we’re happy to have you here!

I took a look at your list of devices linked to your admin, and see that all your remote devices, as well as your Nucleus appear to be running the latest version of Roon. The only thing running an older version is your instance of Roon Server running on your Mac.

But, I also see you have a Nucleus functioning as your server - do you have multiple servers on purpose?

If so, let’s see if doing a full server database refresh may help with getting your Mac updated properly:

  • Create a Backup of your current database
  • Exit out of Roon + RoonServer (from taskbar area)
  • Navigate to your Roon Database Location
  • Find the folder that says “Roon Server” and “Roon”
  • Rename the “RoonServer” folder to “RoonServer_old” and “Roon” to “Roon_old”
  • Reinstall the Roon App from our Downloads Page to generate a new Roon folder
  • Verify if the issue persists on a fresh database before restoring the backup

Here is the process outlined from a macOS machine:
