You’re the second Antipodes user with an issue I’m aware of. As suggested in the other thread, please also open a support request with Antipodes support.

Hello @marc.escande,

Thank you for providing these details.

We are currently investigating a similar report where Roon fails to start following the latest update (you can check another thread here: community link).

To confirm if your Antipodes server is experiencing the exact same issue, we need to take a closer look at your logs.

Could you please upload your Event Viewer logs (or Roon Server logs) to our secure uploader here: Logs Uploader ?

Once we have the logs, we’ll be able to compare the error patterns and provide more specific guidance.

Thanks.

I am having same issue but with my Nucleus. I can see it using the web interface so i know the Nucleus is visible on the network, but when I try to use the Roon app, it can’t find the server. I also tried multiple devices with same result and uninstalled and reinstalled Roon app on Android tablet.

Please open your own support ticket if you haven’t. You don’t have the same issue because this ticket is about an Antipodes server and you have a Nucleus.

Antipodes, see here:

Hi Alex,
Apparently, the new version of Roon isn’t compatible with our Antipodes DX. In fact, they haven’t received any updates for quite some time. For those experiencing this issue, the question is whether it’s possible to roll back your latest update to the previous one, which worked perfectly?

Looking forward to your reply,
Christophe

Hi @Kerdiles_Christophe,

Thank you for your post. We understand it’s frustrating to suddenly be without a server.

Roon has updated our minimum requirements for both stability and security reasons; unfortunately, it won’t be possible to roll back to the previous build.

Unfortunately, the best path forward is to reach out to Antipodes directly to discuss options for the DX. They consider this particular unit a legacy Early Model, and it’s very likely deprecated for firmware updates.

Hello Connor,
Thank you for your reply, which is unfortunately not satisfactory for me. I admit I wasn’t vigilant enough regarding your messages prior to the last Roon update, which warned of potential incompatibility with certain older operating systems, such as that of the Antipodes DX. Two points, however: your messages are sometimes complex for customers who are not technical experts but simply music lovers; and if certain operating systems are incompatible, a warning message during the update should allow the user to stop the process and revert to the previous version—as is the case for PCs/Macs.
I have contacted Antipodes, but so far without success. I’m not very optimistic.
Therefore, I will be looking into purchasing a new, recent Roon-ready server/streamer, and I will be pleased to find your application there.

Sincerely,
C. Kerdilès
