· I have an Aqua Linq with an HQPlayer Core module. I know I need to add HQPlayer as a zone but cannot get to it on the iPad. When I get to it on my laptop and get music, I then cannot control the music on my iPad without my laptop open. HELP

Hey @Gregory_Powell1,

Yes, HQPlayer requires a server to function, but it looks like your Aqua Linq might have it’s own HQPlayer server? Are there any configuration interfaces you’ve been able to access? You’ll essentially need to allow HQPlayer control to be able to connect to it directly, here is a guide on similar setups that may help:

I cannot open Roon on my iPad because it looks for a server. On the laptop I can add HQPlayer and get music AND I can then control the music from my iPad but Only if the laptop is open.

Is your laptop is also your Roon server?

Hey @Gregory_Powell1,

It does look like your MacBook is your Roon Server according to our diagnostics. Roon Server needs to be running in order to control it, and the Aqua Linq is not a Roon Server from what I see.

It’s a Roon endpoint, but, can run HQPlayer embedded.
