Mike,
Tried that firewall is on but with clear and stated access to Roon connection. Tried to turn off but would not let me. This just started with download of most recent Roon update
Thanks

This sounds like a problem and is worth investigating & turning off to prove that it’s not blocking access to Roon (ignore the rules as they might be corrupted). This should, in theory at least, take a couple of minutes…

There’s lots of help, just google…

No change. The issue again started with the most recent Roon update. I cannot seem to find any help desk or number to call

There is no phone support, all service support is done via this forum.

So if this group is the only answer, are there any answers?

What firewall are you using ? I have to renew permissions through firewall with every update. Try doing that.

Not sure if it’s intentional at Apple or they just s@&k… might be both…

But when you say you can’t turn off the firewall, are you having trouble unlocking the preferences pane?

I’ve had this happen on 3 hackintoshes and a MacStudio, all on macOS 12.

I have to close the System Preferences, then reopen them… go to Privacy and click the unlock in the bottom corner, then go to Firewall.

If you go to Privacy → Firewall and then unlock it doesn’t always allow you to unlock the pane.

Hi @Craig_Walling,

Are you still encountering this issue? The tech support team is standing by to assist you, if so. We’ll need to know a few more details about your system and network setup, as requested by the template.

Thank you!
