Mac Mini running MacOS 27 as Roon Server, hardwired to ethernet switch. Raspberry Pi 4 running a version of Ropieee I installed a year ago and it is hardwired to the same switch. Roon was streaming music just fine.

Decided to go to the web interface of Ropieee and upgrade to the newest version, could not bring it up using [http://ropieee.local](http://ropieee.local) or the IP address of the box.

Thought my Raspberry Pi 4 went bad so I purchased a new one, flashed a new SD card with the newest version of Ropieee and fired it up. Still cannot get to the web interface.

Raspberry Pi has a steady red light (power) and steady blinking green light

Does the RPi show up in Roon settings (about or audio pages)? If so, check the IP address there and see if it is the one you are trying to use?

One update. I got Roon streaming fine through Ropieee by quitting Roon server and then restarting it by going to Applications…right clicking on Roon.app and choosing show package contents. Opened Contents folder and clicked on RoonServer.app. Apparently this is a known problem under MacOS 27 to get Roon devices (like Ropieee) to show up. I still cannot get to the web interface of Ropiee

What happens if you use the actual IP address for Verox (the device formerly known as RoPieee)?

If the IP is seen on the network and is pingable then I would try powercycling the Pi.

When setting up a new RPi3A+ yesterday I had a slight suspicion the internal HTTP server wasn’t always starting.

> Hey all, It’s official: 2026.09 is the first release under the new name, Verox, and it’s now available on the Stable channel. For those of you running RoPieee with Roon, here’s what matters: You don’t have to do anything. Your device updates itself as usual, and your zones, settings and Roon setup stay exactly as they are. Nothing to re-pair in Roon. The extension keeps working as before. For now it still shows up as “RoPieee Remote Control” in Roon’s Extensions list. That’s deliberate, so n…

RPi4 hardwired to Netgear unmanaged switch. Mac Mini with all the music also hardwired to the same switch. Tried using [http://ropieee.local/](http://ropieee.local/) as well as 192.168.4.76

I can ping 192.168.4.76 just fine. I did a port scan on this same IP address and port 80 and 8080 are open. I can play music just fine through Roon so I am baffled. The last time I visited the Ropiee web interface was almost a year ago. The only other change I made to the network was getting rid of my Asus wifi access point and installing two Eero access points. I have dug in the Eero interface and do not see anything that should be blocking this

What happens if you try [http://verox.local](http://verox.local) or just [http://verox](http://verox) ? There’s been a name change…

Note: if you’ve named the device in RoPieee, then you should use that name instead, e.g.🙂

I cannot get to it with [http://verox.local](http://verox.local) or the IP address. The screenshot you posted, is that from the web interface or a monitor hooked to your Raspberry Pi?

I take it you’ve tried accessing it from multiple different devices and/or different browsers, also on the wired network, so as to avoid any WiFi oddities and (hopefully) dodge firewall peculiarities on any specific client.
