Cannot load Roon on El Capitan

Late 2007 Imac with upgraded new SSD Imac 20 Inch Mid 2007
OSX El Capitan 10.11.6

Network Details (Including networking gear model/manufacturer and if on WiFi/Ethernet)
Sky WiFi

Audio Devices (Specify what device you’re using and its connection type - USB/HDMI/etc.)
Meridian Prime Headphone amp USB with Audio Quest Jitterbug

I have loaded the latest version of Roon but every time I try to launch I get the intro box with the quote and then it quits and will not load.

Hi @Graham_Barnet,

Welcome to the forum. I would try reinstalling Roon fresh as the first troubleshooting step:

  • Exit out of Roon
  • Navigate to your Roon’s Database Location
  • Find the folder that says “Roon”
  • Rename the “Roon” folder to “Roon_old”
  • Restart/Reinstall the Roon App to generate a new Roon folder

I have tried this a few times but Roon is still crashing on launch. Can you suggest anything elks please ?

Can you please use these instructions to access your Roon logs folder and upload a set to Dropbox / Google Drive and post a link? If you don’t have Dropbox / Google Drive just let me know and I can provide alternate upload instructions, thanks!
