Hi Ben
I connected my MacBook [the Core] to my router using a hardwire. TIDAL actually connected after something of a delay. For a few seconds it looked OK but then I got kicked out of TIDAL. It disconnected. I have Full Fibre Broadband. It is rock solid. I retried connecting to TIDAL. The same thing happened a couple of times. I was connected but then the connection dropped. I have uploaded a new set of logs which will cover the period when the above all happened. The zip file is called “number 2 Moderated for privacy”
Can you assist? Roon is a shadow of what it can be if I cannot interface with TIDAL
Thanks for sending those over! I’ll need to have our developers take a closer look, but I’m seeing a large amount of networking issues in the logs you’ve sent over.
In the meantime, I would completely simplify your network setup and continue to test out using your core while its hardwired directly to the router. I would give your router a hard reboot as well.
Within your router settings, I would also investigate disabling any features related to multicast (unless it’s something like “enable multicast over wifi”) or IGMP snooping, and let me know if the issues persist.
Thanks, and I should be following up with more information tomorrow!
I have not heard any more
I now cannot log into the Roon app at all
I have rebooted the router and have repeatedly tried to use a hard wired connection but all to no avail
A recent diagnostic report shows a somewhat important network problem, indicating a premature end-of-file after reaching Tidals servers. A simple reboot of the router likely isn’t going to be enough in this case.
Do you have another router or network you can test this issue with? Let me know if the suggestions above help at all.
tried a different router and network
no difference
I cannot log on to Roon app at all
Nothing
Useless
I will upload more logs but I am running out of patience
I will not renew Roon unless something is done
Locate the .rmembid file in your home directory on your OSX Roon Remote and delete it
Locate the .rmembid file in your home directory on your Core and delete it as well
Open your Roon Database Location on your Core, find the folder called “RAAT_Server” and delete it
Open the Roon Database Location on your Roon Remote and perform the same deletion of the “RAATServer” folder and also the “Roon” folder (just on your Remote)
Reinstall the Roon Remote App for your Remote machine but do not open the Roon app yet
I’m sorry to hear you’re still having issues! It’s been about a month since my last reply and I hadn’t heard any updates from you, so I completely understand your frustration with not being able to access Roon.
A few things, can you confirm you successfully removed the .rmembid file from my previous response?
Beyond that, can you provide some screenshots of what your process is when attempting to log in? At what point does the login fail for you? Can you test out using a different internet browser when going through the login process?
With that, we’re unfortunately not able to see any core device online or tied to your account. Are you able to tests out using a family members or friends home network to see if you’re able to connect on a different network outside of your own?
I did everything suggested by you, deleting folders etc. It did not help.
I have two homes with different networks in each. The problem is the same whichever network I use.
I have tried using Safari, Firefox and Chrome. It makes no difference.
When I open the `Roon App I am asked if I want to set up the Mac as my Core. I click that I do.
I am taken to the log in window and I click Log In
I am take to the browser and I am asked if I want to use my registered account. I say that I do
I am then taken to a window n my browser where I am gin the option of allowing the Roon App to be opened. I click Allow
The log in window of the app appears. There is the little black spinning Roon logo in the middle. It is visible for a few seconds and then it disappears. I am left on the log in window and nothing happens
I also get an email saying that a new sign in has been detected.
That is it. That is what happens every time with the odd exception where I have got into Roon but it is not working properly and eventually it crashes
Got it, thanks for the additional information @aduff1874.
Another good thing to test would be to download and install Roon Server on your Mac, and see if you’re able to run Roon Server on the Mac, and then control/navigate around Roon from another remote device.
Do you have another remote device you could use? This could be a smart phone, tablet, another computer etc.
If so, here is a good next step:
And with that, as a next step, we’ll need a fresh set of manual logs, please use the directions found here and send over a set of logs to our File Uploader.
Hello Ben
Thank you for your message
I did everything suggested but nothing worked. I have Roon Server running on my MacBook which was my Core. I have the Roon Remote app on my android phone. When I try to log in to the app on my phone it asks to connect to the MacBook. It then goes through the process of trying to log in but nothing happens. The Roon Remote app makes no mention of Roon Server.
I have uploaded some logs from Roon and from Roon Server

Can you confirm you don’t have any active pop-up blockers or cookie blockers that may affect the sign-on process? Please test out disabling them if so.
Can you confirm all your devices are running on the same subnet within your local network? Please check and confirm that each device has the same first 7 numbers within each assigned IP.
Do you ever hit an option to ‘unauthorize’ your current core? If so, do this and then re-authorize it if possible.
