Cannot open Roon Server dmg file on iPad (ref#3PXH9Q)

Describe the issue

I have just downloaded a roon server file to my iPad but this will not open I understand that dmg files do not always open on IOS but how can I activate the server file and operate Roon?

You can’t run Roon Server on an iPad. In order to run Roon on an iPad you need to load the Roon app from the app store and then you also need to run Roon Server on an appropriate device.

@John_Aiello is absolutely right — the Roon Server cannot be installed on an iPad. However, you can use the iPad as a remote to control a Roon Server or to play music to it as an endpoint.

Roon Server can be hosted on a variety of devices and operating systems, including Linux, macOS, Windows, NAS, and typical desktops, laptops, or dedicated servers.
