My Samsung Tablet SM-P605V was running Roon Remote fine; just a bit slow. So, I uninstalled app and tried to reinstall it from the PLAY store and again from your web site links. NOW IT SAYS THE TABLET IS NOT SUPPORTED AND I CAN'T REINSTALL THE APP (WHITE LOGO). I know my tablet is older version but why can't I install when it was running fine???
Multiple reasons. You uninstalled a much older version of Roon Remote compatible with your 10 year old tablet. Google Play hosts the current version of Roon Remote, which requires Android 8.0 at a bare minimum.
The Play Store is connected to Roon 2.0. Roon 2.0 is the version you are running on your ROCK and other controllers, and it requires at least Android 9.
The tablet in question appears to be running an earlier version and was previously hosting Roon 1.8, build 1158. Although it could connect, it was in a suspended, broken state due to build mismatch.
You’ll need to either shift your entire Roon setup (server and controllers) to 1.8 if you want to continue to run Roon on this tablet as a controller.
