Using the Signal Path, I should be able to see a “Processing Speed” metric that allows me to judge whether the DSP that I’ve applied is within the CPU’s ability to stream.
I see no such metric on my screen.
I’m MOST eager to use this tool, because it seems that when I enable DSP, my sound quality drops. If I need a faster host machine, I need to know. But I don’t want to make that expense if CPU speed is not the cause of this problem.
So my questions are:
-
Why do I not get the Processing Speed data? (And having paid for a LIFETIME Roon membership, the answer had BETTER not be “because you’re using a Mac!”)
-
What other factors need to be checked to ensure the highest sound quality while using Roon’s DSP?
