Description of Issue

Roon core is on pc which is wireless connected to the network via tp-link deco accespoints. In my Ambit router my PC (roon core) has a static IP and ports are forwarded.
I get the “not ready”
{
“connectivity”: {“status”:“NetworkError”,“status_code”:504,“error”:“error: Error: ETIMEDOUT, response code: undefined, body: undefined connected? undefined”},
“external_ip”: {“actual_external_ip”:“84.aaa.bbb.ccc”,“router_external_ip”:“84.aaa.bbb.ccc”},
“natpmp_autoconfig”: {“status”:“NotFound”},
“upnp_autoconfig”: {“server_ip”:“192.168.178.1”,“found_upnp”:true}
}

In router I added in forwarding:
IP Address;Start Port;End Port;IP Address;Start Port;End Port;Prot;Description;Enabled
192.168.178.19;55000;55002;0.0.0.0;55000;55002;TCP;Roon Arc;Yes

Welcome to the Roon community, @Alexander_de_Weerd.

The diagnostics you’ve provided suggest that UPnP is not properly configured on your router.

Please first try the following steps:

  • Try to enable UPnP/NATPMP in the web administration interface for the router directly upstream from your Core
  • Try to manually open the port in your router’s port forwarding configuration
  • Make sure the IP/Port matches the Port listed in Roon → Settings → ARC
  • Check for any VPNs or Firewalls that might be interfering
  • Check if your modem is in Bridge mode

If you continue to experience difficulties, please tag the support team and include the following information:

  1. What is the make and model of your modem and router?
  2. Do you have any additional network hardware, like additional routers or managed switches?
  3. Who is your internet service provider and what is your geographic region?
  4. Is your Modem configured in Bridge Mode so that it operates only as a modem or do you have the ports forwarded on both?

Hi @Alexander_de_Weerd,

Welcome to the forum.

When i look at the port forwarding rule i see to different port numbers 55002 & 55000. Please take a look in the Roon app under Settings → Roon Arc and see what port number is mentioned there. Then change your port forwarding rule that all port numbers are the same.

Hope it helps.

Kind regards,

Maarten.

Hey @Alexander_de_Weerd,

I wanted to follow up on this thread to see if you were able to get Arc up and running?

I’ll be on standby for your reply :+1:
